Douglas Laing - Scallywag - Tasting Notes

Nose
Fruity, bit new make roughness, citrus tones, toffee, red grapefruit, vanilla, dried stone fruits. Sweet and softens with some time and warmth. There is some gooseberry sourness a bit with elderberry blossom sweetness mixed. It is like walking through a market filled with fresh, ripe fruits.

Palate
Creamy, sweet, citrus, grapefruit, orange marmalade, dried apricots, raisin, soft clover honey, milk chocolate, vanilla, bit pepper, and pears...

Finish
Warm and sweet middle length finish. First a bit the high citrus tones, and then ending with soft honey sweet tones with a hint of chocolate sprinkles.

score
7 out of 10, very fruity. Needs some time to breath first, and then the sweetness, fruits and citrus notes emerge.
