Dufftown - 18 YO - Douglas Laing Old Particular - Tasting Notes

Nose
Sweet, raisin, vanilla, fresh lemon note in the back, fresh pineapple sweetness, tropical fruit bowl, banana, mango. More lingering to the yellow fruit tones in the back. Needs a bit of time and warmth to open up, has a bit the sweetness that you get from combining red onions soaked in good balsamico vinegar and putting that in the oven for a bit.

Palate
Creamy, pepper, sweet, fruity, warm, toffee, cherry, red fruits, honey, pineapple, mango, fresh tropical fruits, vanilla, raisin, strawberry, red apple. This is total mix of fruit, and it just keeps coming...

Finish
Middle length finish with a lot of dark chocolate. It is sweet, and has some raisin, and a bit toffee in there.

score
This is definitely a desert dram, very nice, but sweet! 7,5 out of 10. It is full with great notes and would have loved a bit more in the bottle :-) I sadly have no more information on it at the moment of distill and bottle date, because we had a sample in a Twitter Tasting before the release of this expression.
