Douglas Laing - Old Particular - Speyside 17 Years Old - Tasting Notes


Lovely balanced Old Particular bottling From Douglas Laing of the Speyside Distillery. It is Sherry cask matured for 17 Years Old.

Distilled in November 1996, and bottled januari 2014. They used no chill filtration and no additional colouring, and bottled it at 48.4%.

Nose
Citrus, lime leaves, green apples, white grapes, peaches, vanilla, raisin, fresh figs, mango, sweet, fresh, fruity, white pepper, marjoram, creamy, barley

Palate
Pepper, sweet, warm, chocolate, raisin, strong vanilla, custard, dried apricots, pineapple, mango, white grapes, apples, banana, pear, very fruity, fruitcake, tutti frutti, baking spices, nuts

Finish
Medium length finish, sweet and warm. Vanilla has the top note here with fruit combined, and a bit raisin/nutty bread on the end.
