Douglas Laing Provenance - Laphroaig 8 YO - Tasting Note

Nose
A fruity peaty nose with heather honey and a light salty note to it. Heavy floral notes like lily, and a christmas cake filled with dried fruits.

Vanilla sweetness and toffee, chocolate, liquorice and red apple. A combination of pear juice and marzipan with bacon comes to the front after a bit of time.

But also present tropical fruity notes like mango, light leather and elderflower blossom
This nose keeps coming, a full nose, very nice!

Palate
Heavy raisin notes, vanilla, malty and sugar cane with dark berries and creme brulee.
Chocolate, mint, sweet, dried fruit and a sweet peaty/smoke hint entwined in it. Liquerish and warm spice, cinnamon, and blackcurrant... #nomnomnom

Finish
Medium length finish with sweet, chocolate and a very nice bit of liquerish and spice.

Score
7.5 out of 10. Lovely and balanced dram!
