Douglas Laing - Director's Cut - Ardbeg 23 YO - Tasting Notes

Nose
Oranges! A lot! Lime freshness, sweet and equaliptus. Chocolate, fresh plums, fruits all the way, citrus thyme, pineapple, banana, and hubba bubba gum.  Lemon drizzled cake and banana, stewed pears. Has something malty, but lemony cheesecake almost fresh and creamy. Baking spices coming through...

Palate
Lemon cheesecake, chocolate , mocca creamy cake, vanilla, caramel. This palate just got me silent and just sitting here eyes closed enjoying, forgetting to take notes. Coffee, all kind of berries, sweet, sugary sweet, some great waxy notes and so much fruit!

Finish
Long and sweet. It is just a wonderful array of different notes, complex, and big. Bit leather and waxy coming through...

Score
8 out of 10, on to be enjoyed relaxed for sure. Tasted this lovely dram in the #BigPeat Twitter Tasting organized by Douglas Laing and The Whiskywire. Amazing.
