J.M. - Rhum Vieux Agricole - VSOP - Festival Notes

Tasted this rum at the Pot Still Festival. This is a 4 to 5 year old expression and a very sweet and sugar cane feel dram. Cinnamon, spice, pepper, sweet fruits and chocolate dry notes.

Had to look it up at home to find some more details from this nice rum from Martinique. It appears Rhum Agricole is made directly from sugar cane juice rather than molasses. This particular version is aged in American and French Limuosin Oak casks for at least 4-5 years before bottling.

Very nice, tasted it next to the Clement VSOP bottling and liked that a bit more, just a bit more depth, this one was very sugary.  The explorations in the world of rum continues...
